Photo of the Day: The Lackland Center debuts!
Centenary College is pleased to announce that the new David and Carol Lackland Center hosted its first event on Friday, July 23, 2010, when New Jersey Governor Chris Christie '05 HA met with legislative members of the Highlands Commission for a roundtable.
“I am delighted that the Governor chose the David and Carol Lackland Center for this meeting,” said Centenary President Dr. Barbara-Jayne Lewthwaite. “This was a wonderful way for us to open the Center and introduce the Governor to what I know will become a vital community resource. I can think of no better way to demonstrate the importance of this Center to northwest New Jersey and the entire state than to have the Governor convene its first official event.”
Governor Christie served as Centenary’s Commencement speaker in 2005, when he received an honorary doctorate from the College, and has previously visited Centenary as a guest lecturer in the Graduate Public Administration program.
